Do I need a referral?

You do not require a referral from your GP or specialist to book a consult at the headache studio. If you are over 50 years old and have developed headaches or migraines (without prior history of headache or migraine) or the nature of your headaches/migraines have change significantly, then we strongly recommend booking with your GP first.

How do I book an appointment?

What happens after I book my appointment?

You will receive a confirmation email and SMS with your appointment details. You will receive an SMS with a link to fill in the online pre-admission form. These forms help us to get the most out of your initial consult so we ask that you take the time to complete the document at least 24 hours prior to you appointment (if possible).

You will also receive an email and SMS reminder before your appointment with us.

How long is the appointment?

The initial consultation can take approximately 30 minutes. The specialist will explore your condition and associated medical history in depth. Follow-up appointments can last anywhere from 20-30 minutes.

What should I bring to my appointment?

• Current referral (if you have one)

• Any relevant test results: blood tests, scans (MRI, CT scans, X-Rays)

• Cards – Health fund, pension and Veterans' Affairs cards

• Medication list

• Hospital Discharge summary (if relevant)

• All information relating to your health that may assist the clinician
